I built my first ML model 23 years ago. I spent the next 20 years of my professional life in various engineering related roles that increasingly focused on people systems rather than software systems. In 2019 I joined Vinted to lead the marketplace engineering organisation. However, from the first days one of my side quests was to scale ML capabilities at Vinted - from 2 ML engineers in 2019 to 50+ ML Ops engineers, Data Scientists, Decision Scientists and Backend Engineers building ML models today.
